blamfit Privacy Policy

Effective 2026-08-03. Contact: support@blam.fit. See also the Terms of Use.

What we collect

Account. Email address and name, a username if you choose one, an account identifier we generate, and, if you sign in with Apple or Google, the identifier those services provide. Passwords for email accounts are stored only as salted hashes.

Health and fitness data you log. Workouts (exercises, sets, weights, times), routines and splits, body weight and measurements, goals, food and calorie logs, meal plans, and your preferences (units, diet).

Photos. Photos you choose to attach to foods, recipes, meals, and exercises, and your profile avatar.

Social activity. Content you make public (profile, routines, splits, recipes, meals, photos on them) and hearts/likes you give public content.

Support and diagnostics. Bug reports and feature requests you submit, and server error logs used to operate the service.

Advertising data. blamfit is free and shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the advertising identifier) and ad interaction data, and may use them for advertising across apps. On iOS the app asks permission through App Tracking Transparency; if you decline, ads are non-personalized. See Google's privacy policy and how Google uses data from AdMob.

How it is used

To provide and operate the app: tracking your training and nutrition, charting progress, powering the public catalog and social features you opt into, answering support requests, and keeping the service reliable. We do not sell personal data. The only advertising use is ad delivery through Google AdMob, described above.

Processors

We use a small number of service providers to run blamfit:

Advertising. Google AdMob serves the ads that keep the app free, as described under Advertising data.

Nutrition data. Food lookups may query the USDA FoodData Central database (food names and barcodes only, never your identity).

Email. Transactional email (password resets, support replies) is sent through Resend.

Sign-in. Apple and Google process sign-in if you use those options.

Data is stored on our servers, encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).

What other users can see

Only content the app marks as public or that you make public: your public profile, published routines and splits, public recipes, meals and foods you contribute, their photos, and like counts. Your logs, body measurements, goals, and plans are never visible to other users.

Retention and deletion

Data is retained while your account exists. Deleting your account from the Account screen permanently removes your personal data: your account, logs, measurements, goals, photos, and likes. Anonymized public contributions (such as foods added to the shared catalog) may remain, with no link to you. Operational records that are not about your person (aggregate error logs) are retained for service accounting with identifiers removed.

Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit. Access to production systems is restricted to the operator. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your data we will notify you as required by law.

Health disclaimer

blamfit provides fitness and nutrition tracking. It is not medical advice; see the Terms of Use for the full health and nutrition disclaimers.

Children

blamfit is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices

You can edit or delete your logs and content in the app, make content public or private where the app offers it, and delete your account entirely from the Account screen. You can decline ad tracking in the App Tracking Transparency prompt or in your device settings at any time. For anything else, or to exercise rights your local law gives you (such as access or export), email support@blam.fit.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the effective date above and, where appropriate, notice in the app.
